AUDEMARS PIGUET, CARTIER AND ROLEX – EXPERT PICKS BY ANISA KOLONJA
Certified Pre-Owned Watches: "Hour Favourites" from Bucherer Lucerne
Some watches age into icons. Others were always quietly exceptional – you just needed someone with the right eye to find them. Anisa Kolonja, Client Advisor for Certified Pre-Owned Watches at Bucherer Lucerne, has spent years developing exactly that: a sharp instinct for pieces that combine horological pedigree with lasting personal appeal.

From Enduring Precision to Bold Iconography
For this edition of Hour Favourites, Anisa brings together a selection that reflects her own passions as much as her expertise – from the enduring precision of Rolex and the bold iconography of Audemars Piguet, to the timeless elegance of Cartier and the quietly rebellious spirit of H. Moser & Cie. Each watch has been individually authenticated and serviced to meet the full standards of the Bucherer Certified Pre-Owned programme, chosen not just for what it is, but for the story it tells.

Cartier Gondole 'Jumbo Horizontale' 97051
“The Gondole is a compelling example of Cartier’s early 20th-century design language,” she notes. “Its geometric case sets it apart from more conventional round forms, yet it remains balanced and timeless. The watch carries a quiet confidence, underscored by a manual-winding movement that reflects the traditions of fine watchmaking.”

Audemars Piguet Star Wheel 25720OR
“This is the kind of piece collectors tend to notice straight away,” Anisa explains. “The Star Wheel is exceptionally rare, with only about 30 timepieces produced between 1991 and 2003, before the complication was discontinued. What sets it apart is the wandering hours display, where rotating discs move across the dial instead of traditional hands. It creates a sense of motion that feels both technical and unexpected.”

H. Moser & Cie. Swiss Alp Watch 5324-0200
“At first glance, this watch plays with expectations. It resembles a smartwatch, yet it is entirely mechanical,” says Anisa. “That contrast is what makes it interesting. The fumé dial with its sunburst finish is a signature of Moser, and the movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, which adds another layer to the piece.”

Rolex Milgauss 116400
"The Milgauss has a character all its own, it’s one of those watches you recognise instantly. The lightning-bolt seconds hand adds a distinctive, slightly playful detail that is unique to this model. Then there’s the green sapphire crystal, produced entirely in-house by Rolex, which gives the watch its recognisable colour and presence."
